Vacancies Announced

ASSEB has advertised vacancies for three types of positions:

  1. Junior Administrative Assistant – Total 4 posts
  2. Junior Administrative Assistant cum Program Assistant – Total 2 posts
  3. Junior Administrative Assistant cum Accounts Assistant – Total 2 posts

These posts are distributed across various categories including General, OBC/MOBC, SC, ST(P), and ST(H).




Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:

Candidates must be Indian citizens.

Age Limit:

Applicants should be at least 21 years old and not more than 38 years of age as on 1st January 2025.

Age Relaxation:

  • SC, ST(P), and ST(H) candidates get a relaxation of up to 5 years.
  • OBC/MOBC candidates are eligible for a relaxation of up to 3 years.

These relaxations are provided as per Government of Assam Notification No. ABP.6/2016/9 dated 25th April 2018.




Educational Qualifications

For Junior Administrative Assistant:

Candidates should have a graduate degree in any discipline from a Government-recognized institution. They must have scored at least 50% marks in Class 10, Class 12, and in graduation. Additionally, candidates must have completed at least a six-month certificate or diploma course in Computer Applications from a recognized institute.

Extra marks will be given during selection to candidates who:

  • Have scored more than 70% in any of Class 10, 12, or graduation (up to 5 marks).
  • Have scored more than 80% in all three stages (up to 10 marks).
  • Have work experience in Government or Government undertaking offices (up to 10 marks).

For Junior Administrative Assistant cum Program Assistant:

Applicants must have a graduate degree in Computer Science or a related subject with a minimum of 50% marks in Class 10, 12, and graduation. Candidates with MCA qualifications will be given preference. Work experience in Government offices will be rewarded with extra marks (up to 10 marks).

For Junior Administrative Assistant cum Accounts Assistant:

Applicants must be commerce graduates with at least 50% marks in Class 10, 12, and graduation. Candidates with a CA Intermediate certificate will receive 10 extra marks during selection. Proficiency in Tally will also be considered and awarded with up to 5 marks based on performance in a practical test. A six-month certificate or diploma in Computer Applications is also mandatory. Work experience in relevant Government sectors will fetch up to 10 extra marks.


Remuneration

Selected candidates will receive a fixed salary of ₹18,000 per month for the first 11 months. The contractual term may be extended based on satisfactory performance. Re-engaged candidates may receive a salary increment of 6%. Any permanent absorption into regular posts will follow the regulations of the Board.

Candidates may apply for more than one post using a single application, but must ensure they meet the eligibility requirements for each post. Submission of hard copies is not required. No offline applications will be accepted.


Application Fee

  • General Category applicants must pay ₹500.
  • Reserved Category applicants (SC/ST/OBC/MOBC) must pay ₹350.

All payments must be made online only. Fees once paid are non-refundable under any circumstance.


Selection Process
